Samurai 7 - overview

Samurai 7 overviewSamurai 7 is based on the 1954 movie, Seven Samurai, made by the same author, Akira Kurosawa. The show was aired from June 15 to December 25, 2004 in Animax. The differences between the film and the anime is that the anime is very futuristic.The story starts in a fictional village of rice called Kanna. One of the common problems experienced by the villagers is that bandits steal all the rice harvested annually. As a result of the problem, an elder planned and decided to hire a samurai to protect the village against the Bandits. But as a payment, villagers would pay rice instead of money because villagers have no money to pay. Three representatives left the village to find a samurai that is willing to protect the rice village.

Luckily, three villagers found seven hungry samurai who are willing to save the village. They returned to Kanna, together with the seven samurai, to prepare for their defenses.

Naruto - overview

Naruto overview
Naruto is an anime about the story of an adolescent named Naruto Uzumaki who loves to play pranks to other people by using his first skill, Oiroke no Jutsu (Sexy technique), and he also vandalized the monument of the first four Hokages, one of the 5 most powerful leaders in Naruto. His passion is to be the best ninja in Konoha. He also befriended his chunin instructor, Iruka Umino. But still, they do not want Naruto to be a ninja because of the curse sealed inside him since he was still an infant, the nine-tailed demon fox (That is why throughout the series, Naruto is always seen with his whisker marks in his face).

Yuyu Hakusho (also known as Ghost Fighter, Ghost Files, or Poltergeist Report) was released from 1990 to 1994. It was made by Studio Pierrot.

The story is about the 14-year old boy named Yusuke Urameshi, who lives with his alcoholic mother. He died after he saved the boy from a speeding vehicle as an act of heroism, alis friends did not expect his early death.

During his life in the spirit world, he was tested to be proven to be worthy as a spirit detective. As he passed all the numerous tests, he was revived again and worked as a spirit detective by eliminating all the demonic forces in the human world. He also acquired some superhuman abilities for him to ease up all his missions as a spirit detective.

Dragon Ball GT - overview

Dragon Ball GT is the sequel of the two past Dragon Ball series. It was aired from February 6, 1996 to November 19, 1997.

The story is about the later years on the Son family (Son Goku, Chi-Chi, Son Gohan, Son Goten) wherein Son Gohan and Videl (the world champion's daighter) gave birth to Pan (another hybrid of human and saiyan). Son Goku, was returned to his childhood years when he was wished back by the Black star Dragon Balls.

Son Goku, together with his granddaughter, Pan, and nephew, Trunks (the son of Bulma and Prince Vegeta) must gather all 7 dragon balls to prevent the destruction of Earth. They would encounter different enemies like Doctor Myu, Super Bebi, and the evil Dragons from the corrupted dragon balls.

Dragon Ball Z is a sequel to Dragon Ball anime. It is launched from April 26, 1989 to January 31, 1996 in Fuji TV and Animax in Japan.

The story of Dragon Ball Z is about Son Goku's adulthood period where he had a wife named Chi-chi, and a son named Son Gohan (in later episodes, he will have another son named Son Goten). Dealing with the same mission to complete all 7 dragon balls, but deals with more enemies, and acquiring more powers than before.

The Dragon Ball anthology is one of the biggest anime and manga. It was released from February 26, 1986 to April 12, 1989 in Fuji TV and Animax in Japan. It was succeeded by Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT in the 90s. The story is based on the famous Chinese novel, Journey to the west.

It covers the story of the 7 dragon balls that are considered the most valuable treasure on the story that if anyone would ever complete the 7 dragon balls, Shenlong would appear and grants the wish of someone who completes the 7 dragon balls. Once granted, all 7 dragon balls would be scattered again in different locations.

Son Goku, a Saiyan(a powerful simian or primate warriors that lives in the planet Vegeta) landed and grew up on the planet Earth. He met a 16 year old girl named Bulma in his adventure on Earth. Bulma and Son Goku helped each other to find all 7 dragon balls using Bulma's "Dragon Radar" to easily find all 7 balls. However, they must deal with all the enemies having the same motive on Earth.

Daimos - Information


Daimos (also called Tosho or Brave leader Daimos) is a anime television show. It is one of the Robots Romance Trilogy made by Tadao Nagahama that ran from April 1, 1978 to January 29, 1979.

The story revolves around after the destruction of the planet Barm, the survivors landed into earth with a mission to negotiate the land to be transferred to. Leon, the leader of the Barmians, was assassinated by Olban, his second in command, and the humans are framed for the murder. Dr. Izamu Ryuzaki from the Earth was killed during the chaos.

After the chaos, the Barmians was led by Admiral Richter, who sent several "Mecha soldiers" against the earth's forces. The only thing to prevent the Barmians' attack is the robot named Daimos that is piloted by Kazuya Ryuzaki. It changes when he met Erika, a mysterious girl which turned to be the Richter's sister.

Voltes V - Information


Voltes V (short for Choudenji machine Voltes V) is one of the first anime series released on TV Asahi, Japan. It was first released in April 6, 1977. Voltes V is a predecessor of Combattler V, one of the shows in the Robot romance trilogy.

The story revolves around the year 1997, Boazanians, a group of horned humanoid forces led by Prince Haniel (Prince Zardos in english dub), invaded the world by summoning the beast fighters. A big robot named Voltes V was built by Kentaro Go (Dr. Armstrong in other dubs) and his wife, Mitsuyo. Voltes V was piloted by Kentaro's sons, Ken'ichi, Daijiro and Hiyoshi, including their friends named Megumi Oka, and Ippei Mine. The base is held in Camp Big Falcon, located in a bird-shaped island in Japan. Voltes V is made to defeat the Boazanian forces from world domination.
